Ministry explains MyKiosk 2.0 issue after criticisms on soc-med

KUALA LUMPUR: The increase in the cost of kiosks to RM25,000 each under MyKiosk 2.0 is due to significant design improvements aimed at enhancing the well-being of small traders, the Housing and Local Government Ministry said.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page in response to online criticism over the cost hike, the ministry said the upgraded kiosks feature larger solar energy capacity, improved electrical systems including LED lighting, and a more user-friendly design, all aimed at supporting sustainable income-generating activities for micro-entrepreneurs.
