WASHINGTON – A prominent New York dance company said on Dec 29 that it was cancelling its performances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in protest of the centre’s being renamed to include President Donald Trump.

The decision by Doug Varone and Dancers is the latest by artists who have cancelled appearances at one of the nation’s preeminent arts centres in December.
