More red-light cameras to be used to detect speeding from April 1: Traffic Police

SINGAPORE - The Traffic Police will progressively activate the speed-enforcement function in red-light cameras from April 1, in an effort to improve motorists’ behaviour on roads.
The function will be activated islandwide, and especially at locations prone to a higher number of accidents or traffic violations, said the police in a statement on March 31.

this shows that technology is the only way catch the culprits. it is another lazy innovations. who will needs to expresss his driving skills in this small little red dot. from one junction to another junction in this densely populated town is merely 300 m or lesser. in the sixties, there are traffic police stationed at major junctions to take control of traffics and regulating the traffic flows during peak hours and patrolling during off peaks hour. our road conditions already so bad..speeding

hopefully it's not dummy cameras. a few months ago I reported a traffic violation and informed the police that there is a CCTV near the pedestrian crossing, one week later it was dismantled, presumably a dummy.
