More than 1,000 police personnel on duty for Chingay

JOHOR BARU: A total of 1,031 police personnel will be on duty during the four-day Chingay celebration here set to begin Feb 11.
Johor Baru South police chief Assistant Commissioner Shahurinain Jais said the largest number of personnel, about 600, will be on duty on Feb 14.
"We expect this year's Chingay celebration will be smaller in scale due to the novel Coronavirus outbreak. There will be no stage performances along the route of the procession," said Sharurinain.
