Muhammad Ikmal steps down from Widad

PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Muhammad Ikmal Opat Abdullah, the single-largest shareholder of Widad Group Bhd
, has resigned as the group’s executive deputy chairman.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Widad cited “personal commitment” as the reason behind Muhammad Ikmal’s resignation effective yesterday. The 58-year-old Muhammad Ikmal owns about 13.6% equity interest in Widad, both directly and indirectly. He was appointed as the deputy chairman in July 2024.
