For me, one of the most stressful aspects of traveling can be figuring out what to wear on your flight. There’s a lot to consider when planning your travel day fit. Going somewhere tropical, but leaving from somewhere cold on a long overnight flight in a freezing cabin? Or are you stuck on the runway in blasting sun that’s heating up the cabin? Recently, an idea came to me while I was sipping coffee and browsing Amazon. I happened upon a cute matching set that I thought could be perfect for an upcoming overnight flight. It checked all the boxes I was looking for: It appeared pulled together and classy, but felt like a cozy pair of pajamas, and came at an incredible price point. Plus, the reviews really swayed me — so many customers were gushing over this set. I had to see for myself.

Once I decided on this set for my overnight flight to the UK, it solved a major problem for me: what to wear to the airport. I wanted to be comfortable and look pulled together at the same time, if possible, and this set achieves those goals. I love that the top is sleeveless — I vacillate between being hot in airports and cool on airplanes, so this is a perfect outfit for layering with a light jacket or sweater on top. After all, there is enough stress in preparing for an overseas family trip, and this look effectively cleared up some mental space for me to focus on other things — like the actual itinerary. At $30 (depending on color choice) this matching setis a deal. The best part? A flight attendant asked if this was a Skims set.

The setis available in sizes S–XXL. I’m generally a small and found the sizing to be true. I could have chosen a medium for a longer length and a slightly roomier pant (I’m 5-foot-7), I liked that the S offers a more fitted look for being out and about. The pants are a cropped length on me, which works well for this time of year. The mock neck top is roomy around my neck, I never felt claustrophobic or uncomfortable wearing it on my red eye. I also appreciate a good mock neck for adding style to your look without trying too hard. I chose the coffee color, but it’s available in 18 colors from several neutral choices to bold pinks, greens, and blues. I also washed it with my normal colors on a warm setting, and it didn’t shrink. It’s made from stretchy polyester-rayon blend.

I think my next wear in it will be on a lazy weekend couch day.
