PETALING JAYA: The MyJPJ and MyBayar PDRM apps will soon require MyDigital ID for logins, according to a media statement issued today (Aug 19) by the national digital identity platform.

Currently, Malaysians can log in to the apps using either their existing user ID and password or with MyDigital ID. However, MyDigital ID will become the sole login method for both government platforms.

“MyDigital ID as a Single Login promises a new era of digital identity verification that is simpler, safer, and more transparent.

"We are committed to ensuring every user enjoys maximum convenience with the highest level of security, while accelerating the nation’s digital transformation in an inclusive and resilient manner,” says Nik Hisham Nik Ibrahim, chief executive officer of MyDigital ID, in the media statement.

The MyDigital ID app has also recently added support for biometric logins, allowing users to approve login access with their fingerprint once enabled.

The MyJPJ app allows users to view and renew driving licences and road tax, check demerit points and blacklist status, and pay summonses, while MyBayar PDRM is used to check and settle police traffic summonses.

In the same statement, MyDigital ID encourages the public to register with the platform to ensure continued access to government services once the login method is fully enforced.
