NDP 2025 heartland celebrations: Where to catch Red Lions, fireworks and free performances on August 10
Whether you catch the National Day Parade live or tune in from the comfort of your home, there’s no denying that Singapore’s birthday bash is always a spectacle – with live performances, military parades, and, of course, the grand finale: fireworks lighting up the sky.
This year’s National Day marks Singapore’s 60th anniversary of independence – a significant milestone and the heartland festivities are set to reflect that, with a bold, inclusive lineup that brings the party straight into the neighbourhoods.
The celebrations continue on August 10, 2025, with heartland festivities across the island, giving you and your loved ones another chance to join in the National Day spirit. Plus, it’s all completely free of charge (just make sure to grab your tickets early).
Organised by the People’s Association and the NDP 2025 Executive Committee, the heartland celebrations will take place at five locations, each representing a different district and theme:
Open field beside Bishan Junction 8: Nurturing Communities, Shaping Tomorrow
Open field beside One Punggol: One Hope
Open field beside FutsalArena @ Yishun: Heartbeat of our North West
Open field beside Wisma Geylang Serai: Bridging Generations, Stronger Together
Bukit Combak ActiveSG Stadium: Together We Shine and Spark
Each venue will feature its own mix of live performances, community activities, and fireworks, with plenty of family-friendly fun for all ages, from interactive exhibits to art installations and even a skating experience.
All five venues will open from 4pm to 9pm on August 10, 2025.
Yes! Admission is free, but tickets are required. You can collect yours at your nearest Community Club on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person may collect up to two tickets, and collection is already open. Ticket-holders will also receive complimentary NDP packs at the celebration sites.
The full list of the ticket collection points can be found here.
There’s a packed line-up across the five venues, here are some of the highlights:
The Red Lions will be making a dramatic descent at the Bishan site at 4pm with their display jump.
A mobile column of 60 vehicles from the Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Police Force, and Singapore Civil Defence Force will traverse five different routes, stopping at each celebration site for up-close static displays. For the first time ever, the convoy will also make pit stops along the way — and you’ll be able to track its live location on the NDP website. The full route can be found here.
From 6pm to 6.30pm, look to the skies for the Fighter Island Flypast, featuring four F-16 fighter jets soaring in a diamond formation across the heartlands. Each route will include two flypast loops, so you’ll have more chances to catch them in action.
Expect a drone show and fireworks at each site, as well as live music, community performances, and immersive art installations, all created in partnership with local grassroots organisations, volunteers and artists.
