My son is 3.5 moths old and never stops crying. We’ve done everything medically possible to comfort him. We’ve switched formulas. Nothing helps.

I want to bash my skull into the concrete floor every time I hear him cry. He rarely has moments where he smiles and giggles at me.

Being his mother is ruining my mental health. I’m already on meds, and it doesn’t help either. I’m at my breaking point.

Call in family support. You need a break. Ear plugs and nap time in a separate room. Sometimes just a few hours of sleep is a god send.

My son cried most of the time for the first 6 weeks of his life. He has a milk allergy. He became the chillest baby you could imagine once we sorted his milk out. But he was hospitalised twice before getting there. Also there were lots of other things suggested by doctors including surgery on his stomach before realising it was the milk.I also had problems with my first child but being a first time mum I was ignored and she isn’t quite as bad as her brother.I know you said you switched his milk but have you had allergy tests done for him?

You’re not a bad mom or bad parents. I just want you to know that. You’re dealing with an abnormal situation right now, and are frustrated and overwhelmed, but not bad at caring for your baby. If baby could learn some words or point to the problem, it’d be appreciated by all lol.Earplugs are allowed, babies can reach damaging decibels. If safe, try keeping him on his left side, gravity can help keep acid from backing up. Sometimes when I lay on my back, I’ll wake up coughing & choking from reflux.Another thought is swaddling or baby wearing, if it’s not being done. Perhaps he misses the closeness? Honestly it’s a guess. Could also try feeding less, more frequently, as long as nutrition is maintained. One final thought is has he been checked for a hernia? It happened to one of my relatives as a baby and they cried nonstop, as well.I’m sorry times are hard right now. I wish you had someone who could give you all time away from the baby. I’m sure dad & sister are exhausted as well. Is there a friend or 1 day daycare that could watch him?

Maybe gas. Lay him on the floor on his back and pick up his legs like he is sitting in a chair and move them in circles occasionally moving the knees up to his stomach.
