Bf is too protective over his car

How do I talk to my bf about this? His behavior towards his car is bothering me.

My bf overall is an ok guy. We are not perfect so I didn’t expect him to be. But I am starting to lose patience with him over his 2nd hand car. I won’t even bother mentioning the brand and model.

I know it’s his baby and I don’t have issues with how he dolls up his car. But he has the most ridiculous demands when it comes to his car. I am not allowed to eat in his car. I can drink but only water.

If I spill I must clean. I am to clean up each time when I leave his car. He lays newspapers over the seat and flooring and expects me to sit over it while he does the same. I am to replace the newspapers after each ride. So I cannot wear white shorts or white anything whenever I sit his car because I don’t want to stain my clothes from the newspapers. I also have to clean my shoes before stepping in. Once I took out my hair clip to tie up my hair while in the car and he made a huge fuss about picking up my hair strands and demanded that I clean it up.

Wth?! When I bring plastic bags or carrier bags from buying things I am not allowed to put it in the back seat which is lined with newspapers all over. Only the boot, also lined with loads of newspapers. My handbag must be on my lap, not at the backseat. Isn’t newspapers dirtier?! He didn’t want to explain further to me and just demanded that I follow his ways if I still want a ride.

He likes to send me to work but I couldn’t take it anymore and started to go to work on my own again. I didn’t expect him to behave like this when it comes to his car because other things he doesn’t behave this way. How do I talk to him about this?

He doesn’t listen that its bothering me and I don’t know how to make him that see his car ways makes no sense to me.
