🧠 Food for thought

1️⃣ Enterprise AI demand surge creates opportunities for specialized cloud partners

NTT DATA’s rapid client interest, nearly 100 enterprise opportunities in just 90 days, reflects broader market momentum in AI adoption.

Over 80% of companies are now using or exploring AI, with enterprise AI budgets expected to grow by 75% over the next year12.

This surge in demand creates significant opportunities for specialized partners who can navigate the complexity of enterprise AI implementation, particularly when 83% of companies view AI as a strategic priority3.

The timing of NTT DATA’s dedicated Microsoft Cloud business unit aligns with this accelerating adoption cycle, positioning them to capture demand from enterprises moving beyond experimental AI phases into production deployment.

2️⃣ Low AI ROI success rates highlight the value of experienced implementation partners

The challenge facing enterprises becomes clear when examining implementation success rates: only 25% of AI initiatives achieve their expected return on investment4.

This low success rate creates a compelling business case for NTT DATA’s specialized approach, particularly their 24,000 Microsoft certifications and deep technical expertise in cloud-native development and cybersecurity.

Companies adopting generative AI report meaningful gains—42% improved customer experience and 40% increased employee productivity—but achieving these results requires navigating complex challenges around data quality, legacy system integration, and talent shortages54.

NTT DATA’s focus on “measurable business impact” and their alignment with Microsoft’s engineering teams directly addresses these implementation challenges that cause most AI projects to underperform.
