22 May - Have you ever wondered whether the luggage that would come out every week at the weekly Akademi Fantasia concert was a prop luggage or a real one during the heyday of the reality show?

Well, Nana Mahazan finally shared the secrets behind the 2000s' hit reality competition during a recent TikTok Q&A, after such a question was asked by fans.

The 43-year-old radio personality, who was a part of the first season of the show, said that the contestants would always be packing up their bags every performance night throughout the show.

"I am not sure about other AF seasons, but for AF1, we would pack our bags every week. The luggage you see on the stage is the one belonging to the person who is eliminated that week," she said.

However, Nana said that the subsequent seasons had a different approach, and that they would put just anybody's luggage on stage randomly and that the eliminated contestant's bag will be given to them after the show ends.

"But yes, for AF1, we would pack our bags every single time," she said.

Nana also revealed that by the third week, all of them decided not to take their clothes out of the luggage anymore so that they won't need to repack them for the weekly concert.

During the first season, Nana was eliminated in week seven. She had since found a career in hosting; both on TV and on radio.
