KUALA LUMPUR: Nationgate Holdings Bhd

reported a higher net profit of RM52.15 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2025 (2Q 2025) compared to RM28.53 million a year ago. 

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider said revenue surged to RM2.60 billion compared to RM679.71 million in 2Q 2024, driven by strong demand from the data computing segment. 

For the first six months ended June 30, 2025, NationGate recorded a higher net profit of RM106.03 million from RM49.54 million in the same period last year, while revenue surged to RM5.44 billion from RM886.71 million previously.

It attributed the 513.8 per cent increase in revenue to RM5.44 billion from the previous financial period to higher demand, especially from the data computing segment.

Regarding prospects, the group remains optimistic and confident about the opportunities that lie ahead, particularly in the EMS industry.

NationGate said the EMS industry is expected to experience notable developments and transformation driven by several factors in 2025 and beyond, such as more manufacturing operations shifting out of China, technological advancements, digital transformation, and increased enquiries from data centre providers.

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the board of directors of the company is cautiously optimistic about the prospects of the group for the financial year 2025,” it added. - Bernama
