Mark Gurman has fleshed out Apple's roadmap for MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 refreshes. Released in October 2021, the pair marked the debut of the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets. Incidentally, the MacBook Pro 16 succeeded the original 16-inch model, which Apple sold from November 2019 onwards. In comparison, the MacBook Pro 14 is a new product segment in the MacBook Pro series, with the MacBook Pro 13 relegated to refreshes alongside the MacBook Air.According to Gurman, Apple does not plan to sell either the MacBook Pro 14 or MacBook Pro 16 for two years, as with the latter's Intel-based predecessor. Instead, new 14-inch and 16-inch laptops could arrive as late as spring 2023. For reference, Apple is also expected to launch a larger MacBook Air during the same season with a 15-inch display.Alternatively, Apple could unveil the pair in fall 2022 with a caveat of 'given the continued supply-chain challenges, it's hard to predict exactly when these will hit store shelves'. Separately, both should retain their predecessor's design, unsurprising considering Apple's tendency to hold onto older designs. Gurman adds that both should be available with the M2 Pro and M2 Max. Allegedly, Apple will focus on improving GPU performance compared to the M1 Pro and M1 Max, as it has with the M2 compared to the M1.  Purchase the Apple MacBook Air M2 on Amazon
