Wellumio, a New Zealand-based medical technology firm developing portable stroke diagnostic devices, has raised US$7.3 million in its first close of a pre-series A funding round.

The funding was led by Nuance Connected Capital and supported by several investors, including Icehouse Ventures, NZ Growth Capital Partners, and international programs.
