No new arrests in Brickfields shooting as 19 witnesses interviewed
KUALA LUMPUR: No further arrests have been made following the fatal shooting outside a restaurant in Brickfields.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said, to date, 19 people have been interviewed over the incident.
"Efforts are still underway to identify and track down the suspects involved.
"To date four people who were witnesses at the scene were arrested and later released," he said when contacted.

When asked if the suspects were part of a rival gang and if photo-fits of the suspects have been established, Mashariman said all necessary efforts were being made to facilitate further investigations into the case.
It was reported that initial investigations into the recent shootings in Brickfields and Cheras point to possible links with secret societies.
Investigations into both cases so far have uncovered elements related to gang activity.
However, it remains unclear at this stage whether the suspects were acting as hired individuals.
On June 13, a man was killed and two others injured when they were shot while eating at a restaurant in Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields.
In the 10.50pm incident, the three men, aged between 30 and 50, were dining with several friends when the group was approached by two men on a motorcycle.
The two suspects then fired several shots at the group.
One of the victims succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene from gunshot wounds.
