PETALING JAYA: National track cycling queen Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri came up short in her title defence of the women's elite keirin title at the Asian Cycling Championships in Tagaytay, Philippines on Thursday (March 26).

The 22-year-old made the top-six final but had to surrender the keirin title she had won for the last two years after only finishing fifth while Nur Alyssa Mohd Farid finished seventh to end the day on a sour note at the Tagaytay City Velodrome.
