Nvidia's next-gen AI chips are way more powerful and use a lot less energy

Nvidia has made bank on hardware for powering AI over the last few years. Now, it's set to potentially make more.

The computing company announced in a press release on Monday that its next-gen "Blackwell" chip is on the way. It's the follow-up to the H100 chips that are widely used to fuel things like ChatGPT in recent years, and according to Nvidia, Blackwell is up to 30 times more powerful and uses as much as 25 times less energy in doing so.
