Nvidia has made a minority investment in Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a private US-based developer that works with utilities, energy providers, and investors to secure power and other infrastructure for data center sites for AI projects across the US.

The companies said on August 21 that Cloverleaf will use the funding to develop data center sites, while Nvidia will support infrastructure buildouts for AI computing. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Cloverleaf said it has delivered multiple gigawatt-scale projects across North America since its founding in 2024.

It will deploy Nvidia’s DSX platform, which is used for AI factory design, simulation, and operations, to improve site selection and planning for power, cooling, and computing infrastructure.

The deal follows Nvidia’s recent infrastructure push beyond chip sales. Earlier this week, the company said it would invest US$1.5 billion in SoftBank-owned SB Energy and guaranteed that SB Energy’s Ohio technology campus would exclusively host Nvidia AI compute.
