Haider Rafique, OKX’s global managing partner and CMO, will leave the crypto exchange by the end of the year, according to people familiar with the matter.
OKX, a Seychelles-based crypto exchange, and Rafique declined to comment.
Rafique joined OKX in March 2020 after roles at Blockchain.com, CA Technologies, and Microsoft, according to his LinkedIn profile. He oversaw OKX’s rebranding and helped build partnerships outside the crypto industry.
In March, Intercontinental Exchange invested US$200 million in OKX at a US$25 billion valuation. Recently, OKX announced another funding round at the same valuation.
Investors included Qube Research & Technologies, Circle Internet Group, Ripple, and Standard Chartered’s investment arm SC Ventures.
OKX has also said Aux Cayes Fintech, the company that operates the exchange’s platform, resolved a compliance investigation.
