Oil prices mixed as US supply worries linger after winter storm

TOKYO — Oil prices were mixed on Wednesday (Jan 28), with Brent down slightly but the US contract edging higher as supply concerns grew after a winter storm disrupted crude output and halted Gulf Coast exports over the weekend.

Brent crude futures fell six cents, or 0.1 per cent, to US$67.51 (S$85.11) a barrel by 0122 GMT (9.22am Singapore time), but US West Texas Intermediate crude climbed four cents, or 0.1 per cent, to US$62.43 a barrel.
