Oldest supermarket marks 55 years of success
HEADING into its 55th year of business, the Gama Supermarket and Departmental Store in Penang has entered the Malaysia Book Of Records (MBR) as the “oldest supermarket and departmental store in Malaysia”.
Originally named “Pulau Pinang Supermarket”, it opened in 1967 above Chowrasta Market along Penang Road.
