Olly Murs cancels more tour dates hours before gig after walking off stage
Olly Murs has been forced to cancel more tour dates at the last minute after walking off stage during last night's tour performance. The musician was performing in Glasgow when he shocked fans and told them he couldn't carry on after just five tracks.
Having performed his song Kiss Me Like You Mean It, Olly told the crowdthat his voice had gone and could no longer deliver a show that the audience deserved. "I can't go on," he said, before explaining that he would truly work things out so he could return.
The singer, who was due to perform in Manchester tonight, has confirmed the concert at the AO Arena won't be going ahead. "Never expected to be writing this today," a sad-looking Olly said on Instagram.
He went on to add: "To everyone in Glasgow last night, I want to start by saying sorry. What happened last night has never happened to me before and I’m truly gutted and upset about it. In 15years I’ve never had to leave the stage after 30minutes into a show, but my voice was failing me.

"I was panicking and worrying on what to do which gave me no choice but to address it. The thought of upsetting people and letting you the fans down has hit me hard today. Speaking in front of you last night and seeing people upset was hard to see but from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry but I had to put my health first."
The star, who found fame on The X Factor, went on to write: "To everyone in Manchester and Birmingham I'm deeply sorry but I am unfortunately going to have to cancel my shows there this weekend. I have contracted a respiratory infection and have been instructed to go on a strict 48-hour voice rest by the doctor to ensure no further damage to my vocal cords.
"I've been having the best time on this tour and I'm so sorry to let my fans down, I'm hoping to be fighting fit in a few days to finish this amazing 15 year celebratory tour with a bang." Olly went on to explain that all fans will be refunded from their direct point of purchase.

One fan gushed: "I was meant to go tonight, but I'm glad you've cancelled so that you can take the time to recover & not do more serious damage. I'm happy you're putting your health first as that's what matters. You're human, not a machine, you can't help it and you need rest Murs. You've been working so hard. Your real fans all support you and we'll see you soon."
"What you did last night took guts. You come first, f**k what anyone else says. Rest up & don't be too hard on yourself," said a second. Last night, Olly told fans on social media: "Glasgow, I am so sorry tonight. So sorry that I had to walk off after six songs and cancel the show.
"I have never done this in 15 years. Most of the time, as singers, you can kind of get through it if your voice isn't 100 percent but I walked out tonight thinking my voice was great. I maybe felt a little bit rundown but I didn't think I couldn't do the show because I wouldn't have come out there otherwise. So, to walk off after six songs, I am so sorry. 15 years I have never done this."
He added: "As you can hear from my voice, I was sounding rubbish and it is unfair for you guys to spent all that money to come and see me. You deserve the best show and me being at my best. I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart."
