Actress Doreen Mantle best known for her role as Mrs Warboys in the BBC comedy One Foot In The Grave has died, her agent has confirmed

One Foot In The Grave actress Doreen Mantle has died aged 97.

The star who was best known for playing the role of Jean Warboys – the friend of Victor Meldrew's wife passed away at her family home. The South African-born British actress appeared on the programme between 1990 and 2000.
