Kevin Federline is releasing a memoir in Oct 2025 entitled You Thought You Knew, and yes, it’ll talk about his romance with Britney Spears a lot. While she’s allegedly in panic mode, and Federline is in promo mode, it seems one of Spears’ exes is defending her amid it all.

In case you missed it, her ex-husband Sam Asghari defended her again. Asghari quipped to TMZtoday about Federline’s upcoming memoir, saying, “He was a professional father, so it would be the first book that would tell you how to be a professional father.”

(And this isn’t the first time Asgharihas defended Spears after their divorce. Back in 2023, he defended the Woman in Meauthor when Donald Trump Jr made a bunch of jabs at her. He took to his Instagram story, per the Blast, saying, “It’s not okay to be a bully.” So it’s clear he’s always got his ex’s back!)

But yes, in two months, Federline will be releasing his memoir, and via a statement, per Rolling Stone,he said: “This book is extremely intimate and transparent. I achieved my biggest dreams, dealt with crushing heartbreak, and endured constant ridicule, all while becoming the father my children needed as they experienced nonstop emotional turbulence.”

And as we said, Spearsis allegedly panicking about it. “She knew it was in the works but never thought he’d actually go through with it,” a source said to Star Magazine via Yahoo. “Kevin’s been teasing that he’s finally telling his side of the story about what it was really like being married to her, and that’s set off every alarm bell. She feels like, after everything she’s been through, the last thing she needs is her ex dredging up the past for profit.”

For those who don’t know, after one year of marriage, Spears and Asghari separated. They started dating in 2016, and later got engaged in 2021; but broke up in 2023.

As for Spears and Federline, they wed back in 2004 after about six months of dating, and they welcomed their first son, named Sean Preston ‘Preston’ Federline, on Sept 14th, 2005. Nearly one year later, almost exactly to the day, they welcomed their second son, JaydenJames ‘J.J.’ Federline, on Sept 12th, 2006. They divorced in 2007.
