PETALING JAYA: The recently concluded Rugby Sevens in Sandakan was an overall success, despite the clashing tournament calendar that saw a slightly smaller pool of teams participating this year.

This year’s Rugby Sevens saw eight teams in the men’s pool and six teams in the women’s category, with first-timers New Zealand Cavaliers winning the men’s title and the Borneo Flyers taking home the women’s trophy.
