Orlando Bloom Shares Message on "Loneliness" After Katy Perry Split
Orlando Bloom is making sense of his emotions.
The Lord of the Rings actor seemingly provided some insight into how he's feeling amid his breakup from Katy Perry after nine years together by reposting a telling quote on social media.
Quoting Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, Bloom posted to his Instagram Stories July 2, "Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself."
This isn't the first time that the 48-year-old—who shares 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom with Katy and is also dad to son Flynn Bloom, 14, with ex Miranda Kerr—has shared a cryptic quote amid his split from his fiancée.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor reshared a Buddha quote June 30 that said, "'Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.'"
That same day, he posted an encouraging quote from late Japanese Buddhist leader Daisaku Ikeda that spoke to overcoming fear.
"The important thing is to take that first step," the quote read. "Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next day."
For her part, while she has not addressed her split from Orlando publicly, Katy has been leaning on her fans for support as she continues her Lifetimes Tour in Australia.
While news of Katy and Orlando's split first broke at the end of last month, this isn't the first time that the pair has broken up.
The former couple briefly went their separate ways back in 2017, less than a year after making their romance Instagram official, with their reps telling People that February, "We can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time."
