Paddy McGuinness breaks silence on Carlos Tevez humiliation -'There's been an assault'
Paddy McGuinness has broken his silence after being on the receiving end of a Carlos Tevez masterclass during Sunday night's Soccer Aid. The TV star and comedian battled on as England keeper, but could not stop the former Manchester City striker from scoring. The brutal display left viewers wondering if former Argentine International Tevez had forgotten it was a charity match.
Fans at Old Trafford watched on as Tevez fired four goals past England keeper Paddy in ten minutes, putting a swift end to their 3-0 lead in the first half. Viewers joked Tevez was approaching the game with the ferocity of a Champions League final as he failed to go easy with the celebrities on the pitch.
Taking to Instagram today, Paddy shared a hilarious snap with Tevez post-match. Tevez had a huge grin on his face as he and Paddy pointed fingers at each other.
The funnyman wrote alongside it: "Police are looking to contact this man in connection with an assault that took place in the Old Trafford area of Manchester last night.
"We urge members of the public not to approach him," he joked.

Paddy's teammates Robbie Keane and goal scorer Wayne Rooney responded to the post with laughing emojis.
Other fans offered supportive comments, as one said: "It was lovely watching the England ex players pass the ball forward to give the celebs a chance to score, but not Tevez, oh no. Think he forgot what the point of the match was. You did ya best buddy, keep your chin up," they assured Paddy.
"To be fair you did leave the goal open for him," added another. "Fair play trying to stop a world class striker. While a third added: "Tevez thought he was still trying to keep West Ham up! He was SERIOUS!!! "
Paddy wasn't the only one being riled by Tevez's antics on Sunday Angry Ginge slammed the forward in the changing room after the match, after spending the second half trying to mark him.
"Cheers Tevez. Tw*t," fumed the Manchester United fan as he showed off a bleeding cut on his leg after a run-in with the forward.

In a bid to stop the legendary striker firing another in for the opposition, Angry Ginge bulldozed into Tevez sending him flying. The forward then jumped up from the ground and appeared to lunge at the YouTube star before the pair parted ways.
Fans also joked about how serious Ballon d'Or winner Tevez took the game, as he ran rings around Angry Ginge and the rest of the celebrity back line.
"Fully here for Carlos Tevez playing Soccer Aid like it’s a World Cup final," posted one fan. However, another unimpressed viewer complained: "At what point do they stop allowing recently retired ex pros to play in Soccer Aid. Sorry but it isn’t fun watching Carlos Tevez and Jermain Defoe score past PaddyMcGuinness and Westlife’s Nicky Byrne."
There was chaos before the game even got underway with England coach Tyson Fury turning the air blue within seconds of being handed the microphone.
As the cameras went inside the England dressing room, Tyson was heard giving a motivational speech as he bellowed to his players: "We are f***ing Spartans."
Host Alex Scott rushed to apologise to families watching: "We do apologise for the swearing. It’s Tyson we don’t know what’s going to happen."

The hotly anticipated match took place at the sold-out Old Trafford football stadium in Manchester to an audience of over 70,000 people. The match ended 5-4 to World XI FC, stealing the win back and keeping the overall lead with 8-6 wins since the inaugural 2006 match.
Kicking off the game, Sam Thompson officially completed his ‘Match Ball Mission’, which saw the ball travel over 270 miles by foot and by bike from Stamford Bridge last week and arrive safely at Old Trafford. During the show, the final total raised from Sam’s challenge was announced, at £ 2,075,564.46.
During half time, actor and Soccer Aid supporter Daniel Mays addressed the stadium crowd and viewers at home with a special speech, galvanising donations to UNICEF. Followed by an emotional and show stopping performance by Dermot Kennedy singing his hit song ‘Better Days’, supported with backing vocals from Hallé Children’s Choir.
It was another tense clash between England and the Soccer Aid World XI FC, as Lioness Jill Scott captained once again, leading the way for Team England, whilst Nemanja Vidic skippered for the Soccer Aid World XI FC for the first time.

Team England started strong, as Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney scored the fastest ever goal in Soccer Aid history in the fourth minute. Not all was lost for World XI as Angry Ginge jumped to rescue goalkeeper Joe Hart with an unbelievable save in the 19th minute. Just before the half time whistle blew, Lioness Toni Duggan, in her Soccer Aid debut, snuck in an exceptional second goal for the England squad – ending the first half on 2-0 to England.
Going into the second half, former England striker Jermaine Defoe scored again for Team England, seamlessly flicked the ball into the left corner of the net, bringing the score to 3-0. Former professional footballer Carlos Tevez wowed the crowds by scoring an unbelievable two goals in rapid succession for World XI. As the 64th minute hit Defoe knocked the ball in for the second time for England – making him now the top scorer in Soccer Aid history.
Much to Paddy McGuinness’s dismay Carlos Teves scored another two times bringing the game to an even to 4-4. As the teams were neck and neck, Big Zuu secured his first ever Soccer Aid goal by sneaking the ball into the net bringing the game to a final score of 5-4 to World XI.
