Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson finally answered the question of whether they’re dating, and let’s just say it’s not a “no.”

Anderson, 58, and Neeson, 73, play love interests in a remake of the 1988 hit The Naked Gun, but their chemistry offscreen has been palpable throughout their press tour. While appearing on Today, the actors addressed rumors that they’re dating in real life.

“What’s the deal here?” Today host Craig Melvin asked. “You’re both single right now. There’s clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?”

The two politely skirted around the questions with Neeson responding, incredulously, “Craig!” Anderson also cut in with disbelief of her own, saying, “What? I don’t understand the question.”

“I had never met Pamela before. We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry — as two actors,” Neeson said. “It’s like, ‘Oh, this is nice. Let’s not mold this. Let’s just let it breathe.’ And that’s what we did.”

Neither Anderson nor Neeson directly denied the dating rumors, even if they didn’t confirm anything either. So, we’re holding out hope!

“We’re watching the beginning of the breathing of a budding relationship,” Melvin added. “America’s here for it, we’re here for whatever this turns into.”

Neeson and Anderson sent fans into a frenzy with recent affectionate displays at the international premieres of their movies.

Neeson also hasn’t shied away from publicly praising his co-star; he gushed to People in October, “With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with. I can’t compliment her enough; I’ll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film.”

Anderson also spoke about their bond to People in July, “Yeah, we definitely had chemistry right away. I was just curious where it was going to take us in the film. It was really a nice start.”

Anderson, who shares two sons with ex-husband Tommy Lee, has been single since her separation from Dan Hayhurst in 2022. Neeson was previously married to actress Natasha Richardson, who died in 2009 in a skiing accident. They share two sons.
