PETALING JAYA: Penang head coach Wan Rohaimi Wan Ismail is unfazed by Sabah’s home advantage as his side target their first trophy in five years.

The Panthers last tasted success when they emerged as the 2020 Premier League champions.

And they are determined to come good when they take on Sabah in the second leg of the Challenge Cup final at the Likas Stadium today.

The first leg ended with 1-1 in Georgetown earlier this month.

Rohaimi said: “I admit, there is an advantage for Sabah because it’s their stadium. But that won’t be a hindrance for our team.

“It’s the final. We don’t know when we will get the opportunity to play in a final again.

“I hope my players will not let this chance slip and perform true to their form throughout the 90 minutes.”

Penang are waiting anxiously to get a nod for their striker Dylan Wenzel-Halls of Australia to play as he had picked up an injury during their goalless draw against Immigration in the Super League last week.

“Everything is fine but we are waiting for the report on Dylan’s condition to see if he can play. But I’m confident he will,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sabah captain Dominic Tan hopes his side would make the most of their second final appearance of the year and walk away with a trophy.
