When you think of Parker Posey, we wouldn’t be surprised if some moments of hers as Victoria Ratliff in the latest season of The White Lotus come flooding back. After all, her lines like “Tsunami” and “Piper, no!” in her North Carolina accent are now engraved in pop culture history. But while her role was all kinds of iconic, it seems it has shaken up her career as we expected.

While chatting with a few of Hollywood’s leading ladies, Helen Mirren, Niecy Nash-Betts, Kathy Bates, Cristin Milioti and Keri Russell, at The Hollywood Reporter‘s Drama Actress Roundtable, Posey admitted that she doesn’t have her next project lined up just yet.

“I haven’t read anything,” she told the outlet. “You’d think, ‘This is incredible! They’re sending me all this.’ But I’ve yet to read the next thing.”

But while that may be (surprisingly) true, she’s still not over all the love for her White Lotus role. “But the memes, the excitement of my friends and family, it’s been so lovely,” she said. “They’re so excited.”

According to Posey, who’s had a series of memorable roles over the years, like in Dazed and Confused, Scream 3 and Josie and the Pussycats, her friends used to be worried about her before all the White Lotus success.

“There are friends going, ‘We were so worried,’ or ‘We’ve been stressed for you,'” she remembered. “They’re glad to see you happy and appreciated and getting work that’s fulfilling and funny. And my mom can feel fabulous with her friends.”

According to IMDb, Posey does have two projects currently lined up, though. The first is a Jesse Eisenberg series called Bream Gives Me Hiccups, and the second is a movie called Wild Horse Nine with fellow White Lotus season 3 actor Sam Rockwell. She also starred in the horror/comedy HBO Max film The Parenting shortly after White Lotus was released.

One way or another, fans of Posey now know that Hollywood is surely missing out!
