CHIEF Minister Chow Kon Yeow announced today that the state government is committed to rolling out a series of packaged solutions to mitigate traffic congestion ahead of the completion of Penang’s first Mutiara LRT Line project, slated for 2031.

Addressing calls to expedite restrictions on private car usage, Chow highlighted that a singular approach would be insufficient to address the state’s traffic woes.

Instead, a gradual and multi-faceted strategy is required.
