KUALA LUMPUR: Pentech Holdings Bhd is optimistic about its growth prospects, supported by favourable industry trends, rising digitalisation and its established position in the ICT industry.

The Penang-based ICT solutions provider posted a net profit of RM1.7mil, or earnings per share of 0.27 sen, in the first quarter ended March 31, 2026, on revenue of RM66.4mil.

There were no comparative figures for the preceding quarter as this was the group's first interim financial report.

It is scheduled to list on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on June 15.

Pentech said an independent market research report estimated the value of Malaysia's ICT industry at RM37.2bil, highlighting substantial opportunities within the sector.

"Based on the group's revenue for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, the group currently captures less than 1% of the estimated market size.

"This indicates significant growth opportunities for the group to further expand its market presence and increase its market share," it said.

The group said demand for ICT infrastructure, cloud computing, data centres, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence solutions is expected to remain strong, driven by government-led digitalisation initiatives and Malaysia's aspiration to become a regional digital hub.

To support growth, Pentech plans to establish a Security Operations Centre, upgrade its Operations Control Centre infrastructure and expand its AI-powered cloud and cybersecurity offerings.

It added that its cloud and managed services and other services segments contributed 23.21% of total revenue in the first quarter, providing a recurring revenue base that is expected to benefit from increasing digital adoption.
