It’s no secret that Pedro Pascal is incredibly attractive. And while he knows how hot he is, the star recently admitted that there’s a particular look he feels he can’t pull off.

This week, during a LADbible video with his Fantastic Four costar Vanessa Kirby, Pedro said that he was “so appalled” by his clean-shaven look in the 2020 film Wonder Woman 1984.

Recalling getting rid of his facial hair for the role, Pedro — who played Maxwell Lord in the superhero film — told the outlet, “I grow such shit facial hair, but if I were to shave it all off…I really look very [awful]. Strongly disagree with a clean-shaven me. I was so appalled by the way I look in Wonder Woman 1984. I loved the movie, but I was so appalled by the way that I looked that I never have gone back unless it was completely necessary.”

“If they asked me to be clean-shaven for Fantastic Four and insisted, then I would’ve done it. But it was a very collaborative creation for all of our looks in the movie,” he added.

Naturally, Pedro’s comments prompted a ton of intrigue around his forbidden clean-shaven look. And it turns out that many people don’t recognize the Narcos star at all without his signature ‘stache.

“THAT was Pedro Pascal??” one person wrote under a photo of Pedro sans facial hair. “Holy shit, it's a completely different guy. He looks like a realtor,” someone quipped.

“I’m watching through The Good Wife for the first time and I cannot reconcile in my brain that it's the same person when he pops up. He's only familiar to me with facial hair,” another fan said. Someone else agreed, “He really does look very different with facial hair, I think it’s why even huge Buffy fans didn’t recognize him in Game of Thrones.”

“He looks like a 12 year old in that picture,” a fan joked, while one more person added, “I flat out didn't know that was Pedro at first lol. He kind of looks like Nathan Fillion.”
