Police: Six-year-old Tishant died after neck strangled with cable tie
SEREMBAN: Six-year-old M. Tishant, whose body was found buried near a railway track in Rompin, died from strangulation caused by pressure to the neck.
Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said a post-mortem revealed that the boy had been killed using a cable tie.
He said the procedure began at noon at the Rembau Hospital Forensics Unit, and the body was released at 4.26pm.
"The post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as compression to the neck.

"In this case, it is believed to have been inflicted using a cable tie," he said today.
Ahmad Dzaffir said investigations are ongoing to determine the motive, but initial questioning suggests the suspect was facing marital issues and undergoing a divorce.
"So far, the suspect has not been cooperative. The exact motive is still under investigation," he added.
It was reported that the boy's body was discovered in Rompin at 4.30pm yesterday, about five days after he was reported missing in Johor.
Police arrested the boy's 36-year-old father on the same day he lodged a missing persons reporton July 24.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Police also said the father, who has been remanded for seven days since July 25, is being investigated for child neglect and for lodging a false report.
