Police close viral brawl case, investigate video circulation

SERDANG: The two men involved in a recent brawl that went viral have amicably settled their misunderstanding.
District police chief, Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad, confirmed this today.
"Both men lodged police reports on July 10 and decided they were willing to make peace with one another, so we closed that case," he said.
"We are now looking for the person who circulated the video, which has since gone viral," he said, adding that police were investigating this under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.

The one-minute video shows a man in a red sleeveless t-shirt and shorts confronting another man clad in a black t-shirt and jeans.
A woman is also seen in the video attempting to break up the confrontation.
Towards the end of the video, the two men are seen exchanging punches. The man in the black t-shirt is then seen getting punched in the face before falling and hitting a guard rail.
Farid advised the public to always be courteous with each other and avoid taking matters into their own hands.
He said those who intentionally break the law could face stern action.
