SINGAPORE: The police on Tuesday (Jan 5) warned of a new type of phishing scam involving the impersonation of government officials.
Victims would typically receive phone calls or messages purportedly from government agencies such as the Singapore Police Force (SPF) or the Ministry of Manpower.

Scammers will try anything to get money out of innocent people. Never trust anyone when you receive a phone call even though they claim that they are from government organisation.

All sorts of scans surfaced nowadays, from winning a lucky draw, claiming a parcel, calling from police station, saying they have your kids with them, etc etc, all sorts of pattern, do not fall into their traps.
