Singapore, it’s time to rise and shine — not for your standard fare of local bread but for this popular Korean bakery arriving on our shores!

Forget flying to Seoul, Standard Bun is packing its (flour) bags and bringing their freshest bakes to our Little Red Dot in their very first pop-up here.

Yes, this is the same bakery that had snaking queues at its pop-up in Hyundai Seoul and is a favourite among the biggest Korean stars, such as G-Dragon and K-pop girl group i-dle.

Best of all, the brand is doubling down on the dough. That’s right, Standard Bun is going above the standard by rolling out not one, but two separate pop-ups in Suntec City and Bugis Junction on different dates.

Standard Bun is bringing an abundance of flavours, with over 25 dessert bun flavours to choose from, starting from S$2.90.

These include their famous Mocha Bun, reminiscent of our locally beloved Rotiboy’s own.

Standard Bun’s Mocha Bun promises to be dense, with a thick and crispy mocha crust on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Standard Bun’s regular items aren’t the only buns baking in the oven. Three exclusive baked stars will be available at the pop-up.

These include the Melon Cream Bun, which consists of a crispy, melon crust and filled with melon cream and milk cream. 

Another sweet cream bun is the Corn Cream Bun, which also has a crispy corn cream crust, sweet corn cream, and milk cream.

If you don’t have a sweet tooth, try the Earl Grey Cream Bun. This bun consists of crispy Earl Grey crust, Earl Grey cream, and milk cream.

Returning to the regular items, the pop-up will also offer other indulgent items, including Milk Cream Bun, Apple Cinnamon Bun, Cookie Bun, or Caramel Bun.

Even the butter selection is anything but half-baked. The bakery’s famed house-aged maple butter will be made available at the pop-ups.

That’s because for every eight buns you purchase, you can redeem a free soft serve. The soft serve selection includes Milk Ice Cream, Black Sesame Ice Cream, and Hojicha Ice Cream.
