While so many of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s pals either liked the photos, or shared them on their Instagram stories, having the pics royal-approved is quite unexpected! That’s right, even Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, also known as Kate Middleton, liked the photo on Instagram!

As you probably know by now, on Aug 28, the Life of a Showgirl songstress and Kelce shared pics of their engagementon their Instagrams with the caption reading, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”

Now, having the Prince and Princess of Wales like her photo is rather shocking. Or is it? Swifties know that she’s interacted with the British royal family on several occasions over the years, most recently when she shared a selfie with William and two of his and Kate’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Along with that, Swift had hung out with William beforehand. Per People, William previously told the Apple Fitness+’s Time to Walk series about the impromptu performance he had with Swift and Jon Bon Jovi at the 2013 Centrepoint charity event. Also, back in 2021, reports came in that the Prince and Princess of Wales wanted to work on a special project with Swift, but as of 2023, nothing has come out of that endeavor, according to GoodToKnow.

So it’s clear she’s been Team Wales, and it’s clear they’ve always been Team Swift!

Now, back to Kelce and Swift, for those who don’t know, they have been dating since July 2023, but didn’t make their romance known until months later, when Swift arrived at one of his games. (Kelce even talked about his crush on her on his podcast with his brother months prior to her going to one of his games.) And now, they’re engaged!
