In a rare move, the Duke of Cambridge has posted a personal message on Twitter denouncing racism and racist abuse in soccer, on social media, and among fans of the sport.
Prince William wrote in a series of tweets, "Racist abuse - whether on the pitch, in the stands, or on social media - is despicable and it must stop now."
