KUALA LUMPUR: Puan Sri Prof Dr Fatimah Hamid Don, the first Malay female professor who is also the former Dean of Universiti Malaya (UM), died this morning at the Tawakal Hospital here. She was 89.

The widow of the late Tan Sri Ishak Pateh breathed her last at 2.35am and her body is expected to be taken to  the Taman Medan Muslim Cemetery for burial after the Zohor prayers.
