Punch The Monkey's S$19.90 Ikea Plushie Is Now Being Resold For S$442
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably already heard about Punch the monkey, who took the Internet by storm earlier this month.
The adorable yet resilient monkey became a global social media sensation in February 2026 after videos showed him clinging to his plush “surrogate mom” for comfort.
Punch, also known as Panchi-kun, is a baby Japanese macaque living at the Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan. The seven-month-old monkey was born in July 2025 and was abandoned by his mother soon after birth.
