Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), said it increased its investment in Anthropic after joining the San Francisco-based AI company’s US$65 billion series H financing, which valued Anthropic at US$965 billion post-money.

Anthropic’s funding announcement named the lead and co-lead investors, but did not list QIA.

The fund said this was its third straight Anthropic financing round after it also joined the company’s series F and series G rounds.

Anthropic said the new capital would fund AI safety and interpretability research, more compute capacity for Claude, and global product and partnership expansion.

It also said it had reached a US$47 billion revenue run rate earlier this month.
