Qualcomm to buy UK chipmaker Alphawave in $2.4b deal
Qualcomm has announced an agreement to purchase UK-based semiconductor firm Alphawave IP Group for about US$2.4 billion in cash.
The deal values Alphawave at about 183 pence (US$2.48) per share, with shareholders having the option to exchange their stock for 0.01662 Qualcomm shares.
