RSAF airlifts sick crewman from bulk carrier to hospital

SINGAPORE - A crew member of a bulk carrier, some 111km off the coast of Singapore, was airlifted to hospital by the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) on Nov 9.
RSAF search-and-rescue unit Rescue 10 was activated at 5.30pm on Nov 9 to evacuate a crewman who required urgent medical attention, a Ministry of Defence (Mindef) spokesperson told The Straits Times.
According to a post on the RSAF’s Facebook page, the man was taken to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) in a H225M helicopter.
