RTS Link to feature 100 immigration e-gates at Bukit Chagar ICQ

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link will be equipped with 100 immigration e-gate lanes at the Bukit Chagar Integrated Immigration, Customs and Quarantine (ICQ) Complex to streamline cross-border clearance.
Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Zarif Hashim said the e-gate facilities form a core component of the co-located ICQ model, which allows passengers to complete Malaysian and Singapore immigration clearance within a single facility as part of their rail journey.

Same as all numerous counters at the checkpoints, usually less than half open during peak hours and holidays. A lot of counters but nobody manning. Yes, 100 e-gates but not maintain properly and of inferior quality which will breakdown often doesn't help. Same as the tolls gantry using MyRFID, which can't detect even if their Touch n Go has money. Put in a 100 more, will still have the same problem. [TIRED][COOL]
