Raphael Varane has named club legends Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic among the former Manchester United players he admirers most.

The France international was officially unveiled to a rocking Old Trafford crowd on Saturday before watching his new side beat Leeds United 5-1 in their opening game of the season.
