KUANTAN: Holidaymakers who love finding the best deals and getting value-for-money escapades should head to Bukit Gambang Resort City near here for the upcoming Chinese New Year break. The theme park resort is offering a special walk-in promotion for the Chinese New Year school holidays from Jan 23 to 27. During this period, adult tickets to the water park would be priced at RM28, with tickets for children going for RM18. There will also be a 50% discount for entrance fees to the safari park, with holidaymakers needing to pay only RM38 (adults) and RM28 (child). Those who opt for the night jungle adventure get an even better deal, at just RM18 (adults) and RM15 (child), with children under three getting free entry. The resort’s marketing and communications manager Karen Tan said they hoped visitors would take advantage of the cheaper prices to bring their families for a memorable outing. “We aim to live up to our tagline ‘Leisure at its Best!’,” she said, adding that with Visit Malaysia Year 2020, more activities would be lined up to complement the efforts of the government to woo both local and foreign tourists. Tan added that in conjunction with the festive season, accommodation at the rebranded Ataria Resorts in the resort city would start from as low as RM208 nett. She said east coast residents enjoy special rates to the water and safari park until Feb 29. The walk-in rate for visitors from Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang starts from RM18 per adult but the five-day CNY promotion rate would not be applicable to them. Among the highlights at the safari park include a chance to view white lions up close and watch performances featuring birds, a Tarzan adventure as well as a fire show. Other activities include a tram drive-through across a wild savannah, animal feeding, safari adventure ATV ride, as well as horse ride and performances at the Cowboy Town.
