Whether you’re preparing for hurricane season or a camping trip, a flashlight, radio, and portable charger are essential items to have on hand. This emergency radio comes equipped with those features and more, making this multi-purpose device a must-have for life’s unpredictable moments.

This emergency radio is the ultimate tool to have in your toolbox when you’re faced with questionable weather, or you’re out in the middle of nowhere and want to stay connected to the rest of the world.

“If the internet is down, your phone battery’s dead or you have to leave your house for shelter, having a special battery- or hand-powered weather radio that transmits NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) can keep you up to date without needing Wi-Fi or an outlet,” wrote shopping reporter Griffin Wynne in a previous roundup of weather radios.

The multi-purpose radio comes with a 3-mode flashlight to help navigate dark nights and power outages, an emergency SOS button that sounds an alarm to alert rescuers, and a radio that’ll keep you connected to all weather stations. It also offers various charging options, including hand cranking, solar charging, and USB. You can charge your phone and other devices, ensuring you remain connected in the event of a power outage.

75% of Amazon shoppers gave the gadget a 5-star rating, saying that it’s reliable, easy to use, and helps keep friends and family connected.

“I bought this because we had several summer storms knock out power for a day or more. It ended up being go to camping equipment. The flashlight has three settings and I rarely needed to use the highest setting as the others were more than sufficient around the campsite and walking around after dark. The radio sound was quite good, although the range is not especially good. However, even driving across the northern plains in the USA, I was able to get multiple stations. I did take off one star for the slow, low charging rate when using solar or the crank. It’s fine when charging with USB. The crank, as is normal with such a small unit, is rather small, meaning that you need many revolutions to get much power and your arm may be tired before you get as much power as you need. I really like that it has so many charging methods so that I don’t have to rely on just one or two. Once or twice this radio even allowed me to charge my phone when expected electrical connections turned out to be non-existent. I’ve been very happy with this product.” —Polanka

“Bought two of these -amazing! Power went out and we were set with light and cell phone charging. Light weight and easy to recharge manually with a few quick cranks Haven’t used the other features yet, but am sure I will be just as happy. Tucks away for storage. Great value for piece of mind when power is limited or out.” —KK

“So compact but so full of features! Wish I’d known about this before hurricane Helene! So many light options, charging, radio, SOS, alarm just wonderful!” —Allison L. Foster

“This is a great radio to own especially with the weather being so unpredictable these days. I received my radio after the events in Texas with their ice storm. Just a few days ago I experienced my 1st tornado here in Georgia. It certainly was comforting to be able to listen to NOAA radio transmissions while sheltering from the tornado that had touched down. As always as soon as I received the radio I topped of the battery to make sure it would be ready when and if I would need it. Good move on my part because in less than a week I needed it. It has solar panels on the top of the radio so that you can place it on a window shelf to absorb sunlight. Plus when flipped up the solar panel had a reading light underneath it. I would suggest that if you don’t have an emergency radio/light, get one right away...the warm weather is approaching!” — Darryl Ancrum
