The flashlight has three settings and I rarely needed to use the highest setting as the others were more than sufficient around the campsite and walking around after dark. The radio sound was quite good, although the range is not especially good. However, even driving across the northern plains in the USA, I was able to get multiple stations. I did take off one star for the slow, low charging rate when using solar or the crank. It’s fine when charging with USB.
