Rhone Ma posts higher 1Q profit on stronger revenue
KUALA LUMPUR: Rhone Ma Holdings Bhd
posted a net profit of RM3.43mil for the first quarter ended March 31 (1Q26), up 3.5% from RM3.3mil a year earlier, supported by higher revenue from its animal health products and equipment segment.
Quarterly revenue rose 8% to RM53.6mil from RM49.8mil previously, driven mainly by stronger sales in the animal health products and equipment segment.
“This growth was primarily underpinned by the Animal Health Products & Equipment segment, which saw revenue rising to RM45.8mil.
“The food Ingredients segment also demonstrated resilience, contributing RM6.4mil to the group’s top line,” the end-to-end animal health solutions provider and distributor of food ingredients said in a statement.
Group managing director Dr Lim Ban Keong said the group continued to see steady demand for its veterinary solutions and food ingredients despite rising operational costs.
He said the livestock industry’s increasing adoption of higher biosecurity standards also continued to support demand for the group’s offerings.
Looking ahead, Rhone Ma said it remains optimistic on its long-term growth prospects as it continues to strengthen its vertically integrated “grass to glass” dairy business model.
“By combining precision farming with deep-rooted veterinary expertise, the group aims to establish sustainable revenue streams that contribute to regional food security.
“As we move further into 2026, we remain committed to high-value, traceable solutions across all our business segments. While we are mindful of global economic variables and raw material cost fluctuations, our healthy cash position and diversified business model provide a stable foundation for the group to pursue its long-term growth objectives,” Lim said.
